Love From North Carolina

I have been at Johnson State College for the last three years, I play soccer for JSC, do service work in the community, and am very involved. This semester I was given the wonderful opportunity of doing the national student exchange program. I am currently studying psychology at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington. The NSE program gives you a chance to study at a school in another state or abroad. It was hard to choose what college I wanted to go to because there were hundreds of schools to pick from. I picked schools that were surrounded by the ocean because I love the beach! I got into UNCW and I love being here. The beach is about six miles away which is very nice. It was a bit of a shock coming from a school that has about 1500 people to a school that is about 10,000 people but I love the change and campus is beautiful. I have been playing soccer on the beach with friends and they also have a great soccer club. I have also joined the habitat for Humanity Corporation which is such a great and fulfilling experience and I have met tons of great people so far.

Hope you guys have a great spring season! Miss you all!

Player Moves On

As is always the case when a player moves on, the team must spend a spell in mourning.  However, in this case, we have a player that is moving on for all the right reasons!  Marriage plans in the making and a life well planned for!  Congrats to CN and a Badger call out to you!

Bataille in Rwanda

Hello Everyone!

First of all, thank you all for all your support leading up to my trip. I have been here for 5 days now, and it's already been incredible. We have a lot of work to do at the center to help them organize the donations they receive so they can put them to use! My friend Elena and I are still in the process of putting together some lesson plans that incorporate English with physical education activities. We start Monday with some simple one on one battles that test balance and strength against each other. They love these sorts of things, so it will be fun for them.

I've already written a few stories and posted some photos and a short clip on my blog. You can view them here: www.rwandaally.blogspot.com

I hope you are enjoying the beginning of the spring semester!
