Love From North Carolina

I have been at Johnson State College for the last three years, I play soccer for JSC, do service work in the community, and am very involved. This semester I was given the wonderful opportunity of doing the national student exchange program. I am currently studying psychology at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington. The NSE program gives you a chance to study at a school in another state or abroad. It was hard to choose what college I wanted to go to because there were hundreds of schools to pick from. I picked schools that were surrounded by the ocean because I love the beach! I got into UNCW and I love being here. The beach is about six miles away which is very nice. It was a bit of a shock coming from a school that has about 1500 people to a school that is about 10,000 people but I love the change and campus is beautiful. I have been playing soccer on the beach with friends and they also have a great soccer club. I have also joined the habitat for Humanity Corporation which is such a great and fulfilling experience and I have met tons of great people so far.

Hope you guys have a great spring season! Miss you all!

  1. BEAUTIFUL picture! And knowing you, I am sure you are rocking fabulous sandels at the beach - you always have fantastic shoes! :)

Ray has definitely been loving the wintry weather here. He got his own sled and has been taking sledding to a new level. Of course!

Anyway - good for you, Christen, for hearing the whisper of travel lust and following the call! College is definitely a perfect time to spread your wings and fly!

PS please email me a photo too so I can put a little blurb in the Badger Beat about what you are up to this semester :)
